Classic mid-century design. Contemporary materials.
Designed by Henri Lavallard Boget for Lyon Béton and drawing inspiration from iconic mid-century design, the Hauteville Rocking Chair uses a unique, lightweight and perfectly moulded concrete seat to create a true design accent. Crafted plywood runners add a softer touch and gentle rocking motion. Despite the use of unconventional materials, the chair has an incredibly ergonomic and comfortable seat, while ultra-fine sanding on the top gives it a smooth finish. A raw edge to the underside adds texture and beautiful detail to this stand out piece. Thanks to its minimalist design the Hauteville Rocking Chair is versatile enough for any living space or bedroom and will leave a lasting impression everywhere it goes.
Designed and hand made in France for Lyon Béton from lightweight concrete, rebar legs, plywood runners and rubber feet. The Hauteville Rocking Chair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in temperate weather. Pores, micro-cracks and variations in colour are due to the material’s inherent and charming nature.
