The Eames Lounge Chair, designed in 1956, after years of development by designers Charles and Ray Eames. It was first designed as a present for his Oscar Winning friend Billy Wilder, so that he could watch TV more comfortably.
The chair itself has since rocketed to its own illustrious place in history, as a permanent fixture in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
